Ultrasonic Level Sensor (HART)

The MEUS has an acoustic aperture that also receives the reflected sound waves. The signal’s transit time is proportional to the distance to the measuring point.

The sensor electronics convert the measured transit time into a standard electrical signal using the supplied power. This electrical signal varies in proportion to the distance and can be evaluated accordingly.
