Live Projects

At Orbitron, we do more than supply measurement hardware. We also build the complete systems around it – from sensors and embedded hardware to data transfer, hosting, analysis and web-based presentation.

Below are a few selected systems that we have developed and operate ourselves.


Local Weather Monitoring

Our compact weather station continuously sends its measurements to a server, where the data is stored and processed. This provides both current weather information and a long-term basis for local weather analysis, including temperature, humidity, precipitation, air pressure, air quality, solar radiation and other environmental parameters.

Bird and Bat Monitoring

This standalone acoustic monitoring system automatically records and classifies birds and bats. It is intended for nature conservation projects, field studies and anyone interested in following local wildlife without having to examine every recording manually.

For this project, we combined proven open-source components with our own hardware integration, configuration and web interface. The result is a complete system that records sounds, transfers and processes the data, and presents detections in a clear and accessible format – also for users without a technical background.

We handle the hosting, data transfer and large parts of the hardware ourselves.

Orbitron Geophone Monitor

Our standalone geophone monitor detects and classifies vibration events and measures ground motion in three axes. It records peak particle velocity, dominant frequencies and event duration, and presents the results as time-domain signals, frequency spectra and three-dimensional movement data.

The system is designed for continuous, unattended monitoring and can provide a clear overview of both individual events and long-term vibration activity. The current installation is not publicly accessible for privacy reasons, but the screenshot below shows an example of its event analysis.
