Humimeter FS4.2 is the ultimate universal moisture meter for road salt, granules, and powders. The device can be calibrated for various bulk materials, granules, and powders. Samples do not need to be ground or otherwise prepared for the measurement process. The moisture meter instantly determines the water content once the sample is placed in the measurement chamber.

The instrument is equipped with calibration curves for road salt (de-icing salt), sea salt, and table salt. Custom calibration curves for granules and powders can be created upon request.

The mobile analyzer can be used anywhere on-site, eliminating the need for long and costly drying processes in an oven.

With its robust design and continuously developed measurement electronics, humimeter FS4.2 guarantees high measurement accuracy over long periods of use.

Handling and Measurement Process

Once the device is powered on, select the calibration curve that corresponds to the material to be measured. Fill the granules or powder into the measurement chamber of humimeter FS4.2. It is important to fill the correct amount of material into the chamber. The device will display the recommended amount of material (e.g., 300 grams). The correct amount can be easily prepared using the included measuring cup and scale.

The display will immediately show the water content and temperature. Moist cores and dry outer layers are taken into account in the high-frequency measurement method, and the average for the entire sample is calculated and displayed.

By performing measurements on different areas of the pile, the average water content can be determined instantly.

The measured values can be saved in the device, and additional information, such as batch numbers, can be added. The values can be transferred to a PC via the optional USB interface for further archiving, processing, export, or printing with the LogMemorizer® PC software.
