RETURN POLICY
Welcome to Orbitron Engineering!
Orbitron Engineering is owned and operated by Orbitron engineering AB.
(Hereinafter referred to as “Orbitron Engineering”).
Our return policy forms part of, and should be read in conjunction with, our terms and conditions, our privacy policy and our shipping policy. We reserve the right to change this return policy at any time.
Returns are only made once the product has arrived at its destination and has been received by the purchaser, no returns are made on products that are in transit for delivery or have not yet been delivered.
By accepting a quote and making a purchase, you declare and agree to be bound by the conditions described below. Our return policy does not affect your statutory rights.
1. GENERAL POLICY ON RETURNS
Orbitron Engineering supplies products that are frequently manufactured, configured, or sourced according to the specifications provided by each customer. Due to the customized and made-to-order nature of many of these products, returns are generally not permitted unless explicitly stated otherwise in the quotation, order confirmation, or applicable purchase agreement.
By placing an order, customers acknowledge that products manufactured or configured according to their specifications are considered final once the order has been confirmed and processed. As a result, Orbitron Engineering does not accept returns based on changes of mind, ordering errors by the customer, or similar circumstances unless the possibility of return has been expressly agreed upon in writing prior to the order being placed.
Each order is treated individually, and any exceptions allowing returns must be clearly indicated in the applicable quotation or order documentation.
2. CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH RETURNS MAY BE ACCEPTED
Returns may be considered only under the following circumstances:
· Where the quotation or order documentation explicitly states that the product is eligible for return;
· Where the delivered product is defective;
· Where the product has been damaged prior to delivery; or
· Where the product delivered does not correspond to the product specified in the confirmed order.
Customers must notify Orbitron Engineering within a reasonable period after receiving the product if they believe that any of the above circumstances apply. Orbitron Engineering may request documentation, photographs, or additional information in order to assess the claim before authorizing any return.
No product may be returned without prior authorization from Orbitron Engineering.
3. RETURN AUTHORIZATION AND PROCEDURES
If a return is approved, Orbitron Engineering will provide instructions regarding the appropriate return procedure. In most cases, returned products must be sent directly to the manufacturer or designated service facility rather than to Orbitron Engineering.
Customers are responsible for complying with any return authorization procedures required by the manufacturer, including packaging requirements, documentation, and transport arrangements.
Unauthorized returns or returns sent to incorrect addresses may not be accepted and may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
4. TRANSPORTATION AND RECALIBRATION COSTS
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for all transportation costs associated with returning products. In most cases, the return shipment must be arranged and paid for by the customer directly to the manufacturer or the designated service location.
Additionally, certain products (particularly measurement instruments or technical equipment) may require recalibration, inspection, or technical verification upon return. In such cases, the customer may also be responsible for any recalibration or servicing costs imposed by the manufacturer before the product can be accepted for return or repair.
Orbitron Engineering does not assume responsibility for transportation, handling, recalibration, or related costs associated with authorized returns unless explicitly agreed in writing.
5. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Where a product is believed to be defective, the return and resolution process will generally follow the return, repair, or replacement procedures established by the original manufacturer of the product. Orbitron Engineering will reasonably assist the customer in coordinating communication with the manufacturer where appropriate.
The handling of defective product claims, including inspections, repair processes, technical evaluation, replacement decisions, and applicable timelines, will be governed by the manufacturer’s policies and procedures. Orbitron Engineering does not independently guarantee repair or replacement outside the scope of the manufacturer’s established return or warranty processes.
6. REFUNDS AND RESOLUTION
Where a return has been authorized and accepted, the resolution may include repair, replacement, recalibration, or refund depending on the nature of the issue and the outcome of the manufacturer’s inspection or return process. Refunds, when applicable, will normally be issued after the returned product has been received, inspected, and accepted by the manufacturer or authorized service provider.
Orbitron Engineering reserves the right to deduct any applicable transportation costs, recalibration costs, handling charges, or other expenses associated with the return process where such costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights that customers may have under applicable law.
