The main task of the GM 5 is to measure hydrogen, methane and propane. The GM 5 can also be used for gas leak detection with hydrogen mixtures (tracer gas technology).

The device monitors the aspirated volume flow and can adapt to the changed measuring environment. It can preset, monitor and readjust the volume flow, too. 

For commissioning, simply select a task in the main menu, e.g. gas detection, and the measuring instrument then automatically sets the sensor selection, measuring range, pump output and alarm message according to a defined programme. 

Maximum ease of maintenance and maximum availability are offered to the user by the fact that the "intelligent" measuring sensors can be quickly replaced if necessary without configuration problems. 

The symbolism corresponds to the DVGW G465 supplement. 


According to The German Gas and Water Adminstration (DVGW) Regulation G465-4 for Equipment technology for checking gas pipes and gas systems, high demands are placed on gas detection and gas concentration measurement devices, such as automatic heavy gas detection, lower detection limit, explosion protection, etc. The GM 5 is a multifunctional measurement instrument that completely fulfills the requirements of the G465-4 and is characterized both by ease of use and handling.
